Caring for your ragdoll
Ragdolls are a medium-long haired cat, and require a minimum of twice weekly thorough brushing of their hair coat to prevent matts and skin conditions from developing. This is ideally started from a young age to condition them to enjoy the grooming experience. Positive reinforcement and short sessions are very important as you build your bond with your new feline friend.
Cats are susceptible to dental disease, and it is recommended to brush your cat's teeth with a pet toothpaste as often as once per day. This is also best accomplished by starting in short, positive sessions. The additional benefit to brushing your cat's teeth and handling them daily is that it makes vet visits and health exams far less stressful for your cat.

Ragdolls are ideally suited to being indoor cats. It is not recommended to allow them unsupervised access to outside, as there is a high risk of accident, injury or contracting disease.
